Kratom Leaf off the trees – When picking off kratom leaves we will tend to pick speratically throughout the trees. We dont just clean the branches off the tree like you would assume. If you take all the leaf off of a branch it will take longer for a tree to recover from this. We allow all of our trees to revover on the kratom nursery by picking the leaf off here and there.
This will allow the trees to grow back organically over time allowing for a much lusher tree. Something to consider when bonzai kratom trees is that how you modify your tress will effect how they will grow over time. You want them to be really bushy and grow outwards instead of upwards. I cant over state this enough that it is so much harder to prune a kratom tree the larget they get. Especially once they get over 20 ft tall.

Dragon Fly Sunning itself on New Kratom Tree Growth – The color of a kratom vein are determined by the content of mitragynine (alkaloids) in the vein. The purpose of producing mitragyna is to protect the tree from insects and animals from eating the leaf. It’s also a stress mechanism. The mitragyna is why the leaf is so bitter and correlates to strength. Strength also correlates to how mature the leaf is. The more mature the leaf the stronger it will be. When mature leaves mature the alkaloids are sucked back into the tree through the veins. These leaves will look more yellow. The Kratom Bible is also available here on the #kratomAPP
The more alkaloids in the vein. The more red the vein will be. Purple at the high end of alkaloids. White at the low end of alkaloids. It is possible to see all vein colors grow at the same time on the same tree. (pink,red, purple) more near the bottom as that is where they have roots as that’s where most of the nutrients are. Up the tree will be more (greens and whites). They start getting more color variation the larger they get.

Watering a Kratom tree recovering from winter- When We first got this tree in the ground we were in the middle of winter which is why the tree looks so bare. At the time of writing this the tree featured in this video is now absolutely massive. We want to ensure kratom trees get watered at the kratom nursery however there are some reasons that may not normally be discussed. When the temperatures drop the trees will go dormant. Kratom trees can not withstand temps below 40 degrees. However we found that by watering the tree we were able to increase the temperature of the roots of the trees by 10 degrees Fahrenheit. This made all the difference during winter as we were able to keep most of the leaf on our trees during winter. However this would be the old method for how we deal with kratom in winter.
We have found that the best way to keep kratom outdoors and indoors in winter is by doing the Rugh Stout Method otherwise known as permaculture. By adding hay to the roots of the tree you can keep the roots of the tree warm while keeping them moist as the hay hold moisture so much easier. Also as you lay hay over time it will create a compounding effect as it provides nutrients over time that compound over the roots.

Mitragyna Hirsuta and Mitragyna Speciosa- This was a real bitch. The Mitragyna Hirsuta was extreamly heavy and was not easy to move. It did arrive safely to its new home and has been doing fine. I was worried that it would not survive the trip as the leaf was brittle. This tree weighed a ton and took several grown men to just lift it of the ground. We rapped it up in a plastic bag so that the soil would not come out of the pot and slosh around in the back of the SUV truck. Check out other videos in my channel for more videos.
